Overview :

La Maison Arabe, located in the heart of Marrakech, offers a unique opportunity to learn the art of Moroccan cooking. With classes designed for groups of up to 10 people, you’ll have the chance to learn how to make a complete Moroccan meal or focus on one dish with their express course. Their Traditional Moroccan Home Cooking course will take you on a culinary journey. You’ll visit the local market to select the best seasonal produce before getting into the kitchen for a hands-on lesson. With a focus on accommodating all dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan options, La Maison Arabe ensures everyone can enjoy the full experience.

Upon arrival, we will start with a drink, meet, and greet before embarking on a tour of the souk (market). The feast will begin around 2:30 pm. Please note that classes usually run between 4.5 to 5 hours, depending on the type of dishes chosen.

STARTERS

Salads, a choice of:

Zalouk – roasted aubergine with spices

Khizou M’shrmel – marinaded carrot salad

Shlada d l’barba – beetroot salad

Taktouka – spiced green pepper salad

Soups, a choice of:

Harira – traditional hearty Moroccan soup

Bissara – split pea or broad bean soup with spices, garlic and olive oil

MAINS (Couscous, Tagine or B’stella), a choice of:

Seksou b Sbeξ khdari – Seven vegetable couscous

Seksou T’faya – Ccouscous Boohaloo: with almonds, caramelised onions and raisins

Tagine b timer w libero – Tagine with prune and date

Tagine b l’khodra: seasonal tagine with vegetables such as quince okra or wild artichoke peas, each served with a choice of Chicken, Lamb, or Beef

Tagine djaj m’kalli – chicken with preserved lemon and olive

Tagine b l’hout – fish tagine (dependent on availability in the souk)

B’stella bajaj – chicken bastilla

B’stella b l’hout – fish bastilla

DESSERTS a choice of:

Letshine b l’karfa – orange & walnut salad

Ghriba d l’3sel – honey fassi macaroons

Blighat b timer – Date and pastry rolls

Knafa – souk fruit parfait
