On Day 1 of our journey, we will begin early at 7:00 am and set out towards Ouarzazate, a town located 200 km away and nestled in the stunning Atlas Mountains. As we go through the mountains, you will witness breathtaking scenery and pass through charming Berber villages like Taourirt. In the early afternoon, we will stop near the Kasbah to enjoy a delicious lunch (not included).
After lunch, we will drive through the lively town of Ouarzazate, Africa’s cinema capital. From there, we will continue our journey towards Agdz and Zagora, where we will embark on a tour of the awe-inspiring Draa Valley and its lush palm grove. We will then mount camels and take a 1.5-hour ride through the captivating dunes.
Before arriving at the camp, we will visit the famous Kasbah in Ouarzazate, where you can snap some beautiful photos. We will reach the campsite just in time for a refreshing mint tea with the nomads, followed by a trek over the dunes to witness the spectacular sunset. As night falls, we will walk through the desert to see the incredible starry sky and enjoy a delicious dinner before the nomads serenade us with enchanting music around a cosy campfire.
After breakfast, we will ride camels back to our vehicles to begin our journey back to Marrakech. We will stop to visit the historic Ait Benhaddou, a 16th-century Kasbah designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will tour the Kasbah before enjoying a delectable lunch (not included) and continuing our journey back to Marrakech. We will return to the city in the late evening, feeling rejuvenated and inspired by the incredible sights and experiences we encountered.
