“Let’s embark on an exciting adventure starting at 7:00 a.m. Our journey will begin by boarding a 4×4 vehicle from Marrakech and heading towards the picturesque town of Mhamid. We will pass through two majestic mountain passes, Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m) and Tizi-N-Tifntit (1760m), offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
As we continue our drive, we will reach the enchanting city of Agdz, where we will stop to soak in the panoramic vistas of the Draa Valley. Our journey will then take us through the lush valley to the charming town of Zagora, where we will spend the night in a traditional riad. Here, we will indulge in a sumptuous dinner and spend a comfortable night, ready for the next day’s adventures.”
As we embark on our journey from Zagora to M’hamid, we’ll stop at Tamgroute to explore the region’s hidden gems. First on the list is the Koranic Library, a treasure trove of ancient manuscripts and books. We’ll then visit the underground kasbah, a remarkable fortified structure built into the ground, and learn about its history. Finally, we’ll witness the age-old pottery-making tradition of the Tamgroute locals and the intricate techniques used to craft beautiful art pieces.
After our enriching experience at Tamgroute, we’ll continue our journey towards the desert and arrive in M’hamid, where we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch with the locals. In the afternoon, we’ll explore the old Kasbah, a fascinating structure that is a testament to the region’s rich history.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll embark on a thrilling 4×4 ride to the sandy sea of Chegaga to witness the breathtaking sunset over the horizon. Along the way, we can stop to visit the sacred oasis and marvel at the natural beauty of the surroundings.
As nightfall approaches, we’ll gather around the fire, listen to the mesmerising sounds of Sahrawi folklore, and indulge in a delicious dinner. Finally, we’ll retire to a nomad tent for a peaceful night’s sleep under the starry sky, ready to embark on another day of adventure in the morning.
We’ll embark on a thrilling 4×4 journey early in the morning, with the sun just beginning to peek over the horizon. You’ll have the option to stop and explore the nomadic house museum in Oulad Driss, which will provide a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s traditional way of life. As we return to Ouarzazate, you can take in the stunning vistas of the surrounding countryside.
We’ll break for lunch at noon in Ait Benhaddou, where you’ll visit the most famous Ksar in Morocco. This fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with winding streets, towering walls, and intricate architecture that will transport you to another time and place.
As the day draws closer, we’ll arrive in Marrakech, the vibrant city of colours, sights, and sounds. You’ll be able to witness the hustle and bustle of the medina, smell the spices in the air, and hear the call to prayer echoing from the minarets. It will be a truly unforgettable experience.
