Good morning! Today is going to be an amazing day! We spent the night in the beautiful and mountainous straits of Dades, where the hospitality of the hotels was heartwarming despite the harsh winter cold. It was one of the most wonderful experiences of our trip.
Now, we are heading out to explore the city of Tinghir, the Todra Fjords, and the surrounding districts. We will be accompanied by a local guide who will show us around and tell us about the region. Our first stop will be Tinghir Oasis, where we will have an amazing guided tour for about an hour and a half. Then, we’ll visit the Todra Gorges and have lunch in the same village before heading to Merzouga, passing by Tin-Jdad, Erfoud, and Rissani.
Merzouga is our final destination, and we are so excited to be here! We will enjoy a breathtaking 1-hour and 30-minute camel ride to see the stunning sunset, followed by another camel ride to see the sunrise and exit the Sahara the next morning. In the Sahara, we will spend our second night under the stars and Berber tents, where we’ll be entertained by fire and folkloric dances.
This is the adventure of a lifetime, and we encourage everyone to experience it, too! The region’s beauty, the people’s hospitality, and the adventure’s thrill will make this a trip to remember!
It’s time to wake up, have breakfast, and capture as many photos as possible of this beautiful sunrise before we head back to Marrakech. We were informed that we’ll return via a different route, but that doesn’t matter. We’re content and exhausted enough to nap on returning to Marrakech.
We have free time to relax and unwind.
Our accommodation is in Marrakech.
Discover Essaouira, the “city of the wind” in Morocco. See goats climbing argan trees and learn about the female cooperative for argan oil extraction. Spend 5 hours exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Medina, its souks, and restaurants. Relax on Essaouira’s beautiful beach, watch the kitesurfing ballet, or take lessons. Return to Marrakech around 4:00 p.m. for an unforgettable experience.
Essaouira is a remarkable fortified city built in North Africa in the late 18th century, following the principles of European military architecture. Our team of experienced drivers can arrange a full-day excursion for travellers to explore this magnificent city. After the excursion, travellers will spend the night in Marrakech.
Explore the Berber country’s beauty by journeying through the Atlas Mountains. Witness the green meadows and authentic Berber villages along the Atlas road. Visit the local market every Monday and Friday to explore a range of vendors. Follow the Ourika River to reach the valley of palm trees and Setti Fatma to relax by the seven waterfalls. The tour is unique as you can feel the water whip your face and meet genuine Marrakesh locals. You can return from the valley around 4:00 p.m. and spend the night in Marrakech.
