First, you will visit Fes El Jadid, the 14th-century section of the city that is steeped in history. Here, you will explore the winding streets and alleys and learn about the area’s rich cultural heritage. You will also visit the Jewish quarter (Mellah), where you can view either the synagogue or cemetery and the famous gates of the royal palace.

As the tour continues, you will head to the Borj Nord, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. From here, you will visit the pottery section, where you can observe the artisans as they create beautiful mosaics and tiles. The artisans have been perfecting their art for centuries, and you will have the opportunity to see their skills up close.

Later, you will explore the old medina, Fes El Bali. Here, you will visit the famous Medersas, the Quranic school from the 14th century, and Quaraouiyine University, the oldest university in the world. Your guide will provide you with a wealth of information about the history and significance of these institutions.

You will also visit the Seffarine section, the Najjarine Souk for carpenters, the Nejjarine Fountain and Fondouk, and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II, the founder of Fez. These landmarks are all integral to the city’s cultural heritage and provide a unique insight into the region’s history.

Afterwards, you will visit the tanneries, which are leather places, where you can observe the traditional process of tanning leather. You will also have the opportunity to purchase some of the high-quality leather products in the area.
